Interaction with regional audit institutions

The Qualification Commission of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation was formed in connection with the adoption of Federal Law No. 255-FZ On Amending the Federal Law “On General Principles of Organization and Activities of Audit Institutions of Constituent Entities and Municipalities of the Russian Federation” dated July 1, 2021. Based on the application of the state legislative (representative) authority of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation or the representative authority of the federal territory, the Qualification Commission of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation shall draft its opinion on whether the nominee chairpersons of the regional audit institution of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation or the regional audit institutions of the federal territory are compliant with qualification requirements.

The activities of the Qualification Commission of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation are regulated by the Procedure for Verifying the Compliance of Nominee Chairpersons of the Regional Audit Institution of a Constituent Entity of the Russian Federation and the Control and Accounts Institution of the Federal Territory with the Qualification Requirements Established by Part 1 of Article 7 of Federal Law No. 6-FZ “On General Principles of Organization and Activities of the Audit Institutions of the Constituent Entities, Federal Territories, and Municipalities of the Russian Federation” dated February 7, 2011.
